"The Twin Cities’ Fret Rattles are always a blast (fairly literally, a blast) live; although their sound is grounded in a madly amped-up version of basic MC5-styled rock’n’roll, they have this subtle white noise aspect to them (inasmuch as a “white noise aspect” can be said to be “subtle”) that brings to mind really early Hüsker Dü" - Rev Norb Razorcake
"With decades of experience from all over the punk rock scene, they’re bound to be your new favorite!" - Uber Rock UK

"A buzzing, Deeetroit via Minneapolis slab of high octane scuzz, unrelenting greased up rawk, ratchet fried and oil splattered, this aint for the faint of heart." - Outhouse Moon
“Fret Rattles are classic garage-punk lifers, taking years of punk/metal/garage experience and wielding it like a weapon.” - Ali Jaafar / Ecstattic Studio
“2016 Best Rock and Roll Album” - Real Punk Radio’s Manifesto Awards
Minneapolis-based Fret Rattles have been around the rock n’ roll block and feature ex-members of Thee Viceroys, Dirty Robbers, Fuck Knights, Six Six Crush, and many other bands from the past 25+ years. With that history in their back pocket, the Fret Rattles bring their own approach to the sounds of late 60's Detroit (MC5, Stooges), 70's punk rock (Radio Birdman, Sonics Rendezvous Band) and the 90's underground rock revival (Hellacopters, Dragons). The final result is straight-forward rock-n-roll. It’s not retro, it’s alive. It’s fresh. And it’s more relevant sounding than ever.
Fret Rattles have shared the stage with countless bands, including The Humpers, Supersuckers, Junkyard, Indonesian Junk, The Short Fuses, John the Conqueror, and Left Lane Cruiser. Through all the gigs, traveling, broken equipment, ringing ears, and spilled blood, Fret Rattles have earned the reputation of being one of the most explosive live rock bands anywhere!
